Former ITV Drama Commissioning Editor Joins Lionsgate UK

LONDON: Lionsgate UK has hired Sarah Conroy as executive producer of U.K. television.

Conroy was previously the commissioning editor for drama at ITV for two years and also had multiple roles during her six-year tenure at the then-named BSkyB, including as commissioning editor. In her new post at Lionsgate UK, Conroy will be reporting to Creative Director Steve November, formerly ITV’s drama chief.

Both Conroy and November, who joined Lionsgate UK late last year, will spearhead the growth of the company’s slate of original programming and manage its relationships with production partners in the U.K.

“Sarah is a highly-respected and experienced executive with great taste and I’m delighted to be working with her to develop our slate of original U.K. drama,” said November. “We will be collaborating closely with Kevin Beggs, Chris Selak and the rest of our teams as we continue to build our U.K. television business.”
