Jan Kemper Named CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media

MUNICH: Dr. Jan Kemper has been appointed to the executive board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, set to take up the role of chief financial officer from June 1, 2017.

Kemper is currently the senior VP of finance at online retailer Zalando, where he successfully oversaw the company’s IPO. At ProSiebenSat.1, Kemper will succeed Dr. Gunnar Wiedenfels, who is leaving the company at the end of March 2017 to join Discovery Communications. From April 1 to May 31, 2017, Ralf Peter Gierig will be leading the finance department as deputy CFO. During this time, he will report to Thomas Ebeling and starting June 1, 2017, to Kemper.

Dr. Werner Brandt, the chairman of the supervisory board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, said: “Over the last six years, Jan Kemper was responsible for finance at a rapidly growing, publicly traded company, so he is an ideal fit for ProSiebenSat.1.
