New Head of Finance Named at A+E Networks UK

LONDON: A+E Networks UK, a joint venture between A+E Networks and Sky, has appointed Mark Neil as its VP of finance, effective January 3, 2017.

In his new role, Neil will work directly under Nicolas Eglau, the chief operating officer of A+E Networks UK and general manager for the Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA. He will be responsible for overseeing A+E Networks UK’s finance team and helping to shape the business and drive continued growth.

Neil currently serves as CFO for the U.K. and EMEA at Scripps Networks Interactive. Throughout his 25-year career, he has gained experience managing finance teams for major broadcasters and media companies. Before joining Scripps, he served as VP of finance IP solutions at Thomson Reuters and held senior posts at News Corp Europe, Discovery Communications Europe, BBC Worldwide and Sky.

Eglau commented: “Mark has an excellent track record in leading finance teams and has proven experience in shaping companies and driving growth. He will be a great addition to A+E Networks UK’s team as we continue to develop the company across all of our markets.”
