CANAL+ Group Revamps Brand & TV Packages

PARIS: CANAL+ Group is overhauling its TV packages and enlarging its distribution channels to reach more subscribers.

The group is phasing out the CANALSAT brand. A CANAL brand will bring together CANAL+ and themed CANALSAT channels. Subscribers will be able to pick and mix their own deals around the CANAL+ channel, adding movies and series channels, sports networks and/or CANAL+ offerings. The options will be available for the first time under either a fixed-period contract or cancel-anytime basis. CANAL+ Group is also introducing a no-strings-attached premium package. This digital deal for PCs, tablets and smartphones is available across the full range of packages, live and on-demand. The CANAL offer is to be launched on November 15.

CANAL is introducing this new offering at the same time as it is entering into strategic partnerships with Orange and Free to supply themed packages bundled into these operators’ triple-play deals.
