Possessed Names New Head of Production

LONDON: Gail Pinkerton has been hired as head of production at Possessed, which is part of ITV Studios.

In her new role, Pinkerton will work under Glenn Hugill, the managing director of Possessed. She is responsible for leading the entertainment label’s expanding slate of productions, which includes such titles as Pick Me, Cash Trapped and Spotless.

Pinkerton most recently served as head of production at Optomen Television, where she oversaw such series as Hotel GB, Food Glorious Food, Mary Queen of Shops, Kevin McCloud’s Manmade Home and all of Gordon Ramsay’s Channel 4 programs. Pinkerton joined Optomen in 2003 as production manager, eventually being elevated to head of production in 2008. Earlier in her career, she held production-management positions at Cineflix, Uden Associates and ZKK.
