Ang Lee to Keynote IBC2016 Conference

LONDON: Oscar-winning filmmaker Ang Lee has been tapped to deliver a keynote address at the IBC2016 Conference in Amsterdam as part of the IBC Big Screen Experience.

Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Life of Pi) will give a speech set in the context of his latest work, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. The director’s keynote will take place Monday, September 12.

The conference is expected to draw 300 speakers, with the theme being “Digital Era: Leadership, Strategy and Creativity in Media and Entertainment.”

Julian Pinn, the executive producer of the IBC Big Screen Experience, said: “There is no finer keynote presenter for this year’s IBC Big Screen Experience than Ang Lee and we are very honored to be hosting him. For over two decades, Ang Lee has shown true mastery in utilizing cutting-edge science and cinematographic techniques toward his creation of some of the very finest works of cinematic storytelling art.”
