Globomedia Hires Director General

BARCELONA: Industry veteran Javier Pons has been tapped to join Globomedia as its director general.

Pons has previously held the same title at TVE and El Terrat, and was also an executive producer at TV Azteca. His objective will be to strengthen the company’s TV content in Spain and around the world. Globomedia is a Mediapro Group production company that specializes in a range of TV genres, including fiction, entertainment, news programs and more.

The company has produced 49 series, more than 150 entertainment programs and 13 full-length features. Its film and television productions are present in more than 140 countries either in their original versions or adapted formats.
