FilmBox Premium HD Channel Launches in Czech Republic & Slovakia

WARSAW: SPI International/FilmBox’s premium HD movie channel is rolling out in the Czech Republic and Slovakia today.

FilmBox subscribers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia can already watch the FilmBox Premium channel in standard definition, and with the upgrade to FilmBox Premium HD, they will have access to blockbuster hits such as Fast and Furious 6 and Despicable Me 2, among others, in high definition. The channel will also air the drama Jekyll and Hyde, as well as classic films like Notting Hill, Apollo 13 and The Big Lebowski. Cable operator UPC is adding the channel to the FilmBox premium lineup, which already features FilmBox Extra HD and other FilmBox channels. FilmBox Premium HD will be added to other operators’ lineups as well.

In addition to linear distribution, FilmBox Premium HD will be available on FilmBox Live, a multiscreen VOD platform that provides access to FilmBox-branded channels and an on-demand library.
