Ten Alps Rebrands as Zinc Media

LONDON: Producer Ten Alps has changed its name to Zinc Media in an effort to reflect the newly focused business since undergoing a restructure over the past year.

The new company will retain the TV brands Blakeway, Brook Lapping, Films of Record and Reef Television, which make programs for the U.K., U.S. and international broadcasters. All other parts of the business will operate as Zinc Media. It will retain Ten Alps as the name of its holding company and stock market listing for the time being and in due course seek shareholder support to change this to Zinc Media Group.

Chief Executive Mark Wood said: “The name change is an important milestone in the reorganization and transformation of Ten Alps and is an opportunity to redefine the identity and ambition of the company. This is now an exciting and dynamic media organization which is focused on growing as a global TV producer, communications and branded content business and a cross-platform publisher.

“Zinc is not just a great name—it is one of the most versatile and dynamic elements, essential to multiple aspects of our lives. That makes it a perfect brand for a company which is reinventing itself with the aim of being one of the success stories in a fast-changing media world.”
