LONDON/HILVERSUM: Willem Zijlstra is set to step down from his role as CEO of FremantleMedia’s Dutch scripted business, FourOne.Media, by year’s end, with Georgette Schlick taking over responsibility for the unit.

Zijlstra will focus on his own creative projects, though he continue to work with the FourOne.Media team as a creative producer on existing titles and on several new formats currently being developed. Schlick adds the scripted business to her remit as CEO of Blue Circle, FremantleMedia’s entertainment arm in the Netherlands.

Zijlstra said: “I have enjoyed an amazing six years with FremantleMedia, working across a number of iconic formats and groundbreaking titles. Nevertheless, I have decided that I would like to focus on creative development of new formats, production and directing under my own umbrella again. I shall miss working with the team at FourOne.Media on a day-to-day basis but I know that they are in very safe hands with Georgette.”

Schlick added: “Willem is a very talented drama producer who has built FourOne.Media into one of the Netherlands’ foremost scripted companies. We will miss his passion and enthusiasm but I’m very happy that he will continue to work with us on several projects in the future.”
