BUDAPEST: AMC has secured carriage deals with three operators in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), effective January 1.

AMC has been added to the lineup of several telecom operators in the region. In Hungary, the channel will launch on telecom operator Telenor and service provider Invitel. The channel, which is home to The Walking Dead, has also been added to Vivacom in Bulgaria. AMC launched in November 2014 and announced plans to expand in the CEE region last year.

“AMC has a raft of exclusive new programming set to premiere in the year ahead including thriller The Night Manager, season three of Halt and Catch Fire and the 15-episode second season of global phenomenon Fear the Walking Dead, among others,” said Levente B. Málnay, the CEO of AMC Networks International for Central Europe. “We are proud to deliver these great [programs] to a growing number of viewers, thanks to these fresh agreements throughout Eastern and Central Europe. We are delighted to see our distribution increase so dramatically, and our programming achieve such impact during AMC’s first year of operation."
