Antenna Group Buys into Serbian Broadcaster B92

LONDON: Antenna Group has picked up a controlling stake in B92, a leading broadcaster in Serbia.

B92 is a free-to-air, news-oriented TV station. It also has a web asset, B92.net, and a presence on radio. The acquisition strengthens Antenna Group's presence in Southeastern Europe, where it now has operations in five countries.

Theodore Kyriakou, the CEO of Antenna Group, said: “I strongly believe in the future of Serbia, a country in which we have experienced tremendous growth, having turned PRVA into the strongest media company in Serbia and Montenegro. Antenna Group sees B92 as an exciting investment opportunity and we continue to seek similar ones in the European media sector, in countries where the regulatory authorities have strong working relationships with investors, such as Serbia.”
