LONDON: AMC is set to be available in the U.K. beginning this September with an exclusive rollout on BT and a lineup that includes the much anticipated Fear the Walking Dead.

In addition to the companion show to The Walking Dead, the channel will feature other titles from the AMC Networks U.S. slate, as well as third-party acquisitions and library movie fare. The U.K. deal marks the continued expansion of AMC globally; the brand is present in 125-plus countries across Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

“AMC has become synonymous with bold, dramatic original programming of the highest quality," said Ed Carroll, the COO of AMC Networks. "We’re excited to partner with BT to launch AMC for the first time in the U.K. This agreement highlights the strong demand for our channels and will enable us to continue developing a far-reaching platform for AMC’s original programming.”

Delia Bushell, the managing director of BT TV and BT Sport, added, “We’re delighted to be launching AMC for the first time in the U.K., enabling our viewers to watch series such as Fear the Walking Dead exclusively from BT. AMC has showcased some of the biggest and most celebrated series on U.S. television in recent years, including Breaking Bad and Mad Men. We’re confident our viewers will enjoy AMC’s cinematic approach to storytelling and look forward to offering them an outstanding selection of TV series and films in the months ahead.”
