STOCKHOLM: C More Entertainment has named Bo Thörnwall as director of programs, ahead of the launch of a new SVOD service.

Previously, Thörnwall was part of the program acquisitions team for C More and its sister company TV4. As director of programs, Thörnwall will be responsible for all non-sports C More content, notably films and series. The promotion comes as parent company Bonnier is gearing up to launch a new SVOD service, which will also be named C More.

Manfred Aronsson, the CEO of C More, said: “I have known Bo since we worked together at Kanal 5 during the nineties, and am delighted to be able to welcome this veteran of film and series to our management group. C More is aiming at a prominent position in the SVOD market with the best film and series content and strong local focus. To achieve this we need Bo’s expertise.”

Thörnwall added: “Our offer of films, series and children’s programming will be even better than today! Not only does C More have new films and series from the big Hollywood studios; no commercial competitor can offer more Swedish films or Swedish drama productions. We have everything from the latest cinema hits to popular films that the whole family enjoys.”
