LONDON: U.K.-based producer and distributor Power has sold a number of action titles to broadcasters around the world.

The Fixer, a two-parter about a secret group that is behind the worst disasters in history, has been picked up by the 2+2 channel in Ukraine, Fox International Channels for Hungary and Pop TV for Slovenia. MVS has inked a deal for four of Power’s films for Latin America: Shark Killer, Beyond Justice, Badge of Honor and The Mercenary: Absolution. Mediaset has also licensed The Mercenary: Absolution for Italy, while SKY has picked it up for New Zealand and Anchor Bay Entertainment (now known as Defiant Screen Entertainment) nabbing the home-entertainment and digital rights for Australia and New Zealand. SKY and Defiant also acquired Badge of Honor and Beyond Justice.

Shark Killer, meanwhile, also went to FTV Prima in the Czech Republic and will air on 2+2 in Ukraine.

Susan Waddell, Power’s CEO, said: “Power is a must-visit distributor for the action genre, so it’s no surprise that our content continues to sell well around the world. Our action catalogue features some great actors, including Steven Seagal and Eric Dane, and so our content never fails to attract attention.”
