CBSSI Inks Multi-Territory Deal with Netflix

CANNES: Netflix has licensed a range of programming from CBS Studios International (CBSSI), including Showtime's Penny Dreadful, for a number of European markets.

The pact includes early seasons of current series Elementary, Under the Dome and Ray Donovan, alongside Dexter, Deadwood and Jericho. In addition to the Netherlands, territories included in the deal are Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Luxembourg. The agreement includes first-window rights for Penny Dreadful in these markets.

“We're excited to have CBS’s world-class programming and Showtime’s acclaimed original series be part of Netflix’s launch in these territories," said Armando Nuñez, the president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group.
