Channel 4 Forms Dedicated Content & Channel Distribution Team

LONDON: Channel 4 has put in place a new team to manage the commercial distribution of its channels, VOD services and programs, appointing Carl Pfeiffer as the head of distribution.

Pfeiffer will lead a new team that oversees Channel 4's secondary sales business and syndication relationships with partners such as Sky, Virgin Media and Netflix. He reports to Laurence Dawkin-Jones, the director of commercial and business development. Pfeiffer has been at Channel 4 since 2010.

Holly Winder has been tapped for the role of U.K. secondary sales manager to support its program distribution activities. Winder reports to Pfeiffer. She joins the company from Endemol Worldwide Distribution, where she was director of sales for Nordics.

Dawkin-Jones said: “The establishment of a dedicated team led by Carl means we can ensure Channel 4’s distribution activities are fully joined up—not only to the benefit of Channel 4, but also ensuring the best value for the U.K. creative community the Channel works hard to support.”

Pfeiffer added: “Our secondary sales business is a unique service Channel 4 can offer producers—opening up conversations with broadcasters about our broad range of distinctive and high-quality programming.
