Crunchyroll Streaming Service Heads to Germany

SAN FRANCISCO: The anime and Asian drama content streaming platform Crunchyroll is now available in Germany and in German language.

For the initial launch, 15 simulcast titles will be offered with German subtitles minutes after the Japan TV broadcast. Among the spring 2014 simulcast hits are The Irregular at Magic High School, Kamigami No Asobi, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Love Live Season 2 and Mushi-Shi. Content can be accessed on a variety of devices, as well as on www.crunchyroll.de.

Crunchyroll has already launched localized services around the globe, including in France, Iberia, Brazil and Latin America. Additional available languages include French, Spanish, Portuguese and English.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to provide licensed content and the latest anime and drama simulcasts directly to fans in Germany,” said Vincent Shortino, the executive VP of Japan channels at Crunchyroll. “Our goal is to provide the best quality and variety of streaming content to our fans in their own languages and we are thrilled to add German to that list.”
