YouView Secures Five Years of Further Funding

LONDON: All of YouView's shareholders, among them BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, have guaranteed further funding for at least five more years.

BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT, TalkTalk and Arqiva remain as equal shareholders, each retaining a 14.3-percent stake, and have agreed on a multiyear funding plan thought to be more than £100 million ($166.2 million).

YouView is one of the fastest growing TV services in the U.K. It currently offers more than 70 free-to-air TV and radio channels as well as 112 Internet-delivered TV channels and nine on-demand players, which include a choice of free and pay TV, radio and film content.
