Beta Film Aligns with Stefan Oelze to Launch Seapoint Productions

MUNICH: Stefan Oelze, former MME Moviement executive board member and filmpool managing director, has partnered with Beta Film to launch Seapoint Productions, a Cologne-based production outfit.

Oelze was prevsioulsy the chief creative officer of MME Moviement, and managing director of both its subsidiaries filmpool and Tower Productions. Before that he was the managing director of Granada/ITV Studios Germany. Oelze, together with Beta Film, is now behind a new production venture that will be up and running in the next few months.

"I’m delighted to be forming a partnership with Jan Mojto’s Beta Film with their vast expertise in Germany as well as in the international TV market. We share the same vision: investing in programs, developing long-term relationships with talent and working on successful genres," said Oelze. "Together, we want to build a production company which is strong in Germany and also globally-focused and work for all broadcasters and all media platforms in diverse genres."

Jan Mojto, the CEO of Beta Film, added: "We’re very pleased to have Stefan Oelze as a partner, whose greatest strength is in non-scripted content and which, therefore, is a perfect extension to Beta Film with its focus so far on scripted productions and co-productions.
