Sky Store Now Available to Non-Subscribers

LONDON: Sky Store, an on-demand movie rental service that was previously only available for Sky customers, has been opened up to everyone in the U.K. and Ireland.

Recent film releases such as Man of Steel, The Hangover Part 3, Despicable Me 2 and The Lone Ranger are now available for all consumers in the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland to rent for £3.49 each. Classics such as The Godfather, Forrest Gump and Top Gun are also available, ranging in price from 99p-£1.99.

Movies can be rented through the Sky Store website as well as through NOW TV, Roku or YouView boxes. The rental service has already proven successful with Sky customers; Sky Store saw more than 2 million rentals in the quarter ended September 30, which is double the figure of the same period a year ago.

Now we’re delighted that millions more homes can access hundreds of box office smashes alongside best-loved movie classics. All you need is an internet connection and away you go.

“With Sky Store there are no late fees and no waiting for the post. Customers simply sign up and stream the film they want to watch, when they want to watch, wherever they want—these days it couldn’t be easier to enjoy the perfect movie to suit your mood.”
