UKTV’s Watch Lines Up Dynamo Holiday Specials

LONDON: Watch has two new hour-long Christmas specials on its roster that feature Dynamo the magician, famed from his hit series Dynamo: Magician Impossible.

Dynamo Top Ten Greatest Moments is a special driven by social media. The fans voted on their favorite Dynamo moments from the last three seasons of his show. In Dynamo Revealed, the magician goes back to his roots to tell the story of how he became the celebrated magician he is today.

Hilary Rosen, UKTV's commissioning editor for entertainment, commented: “Dynamo is a global phenomenon and his unassuming character, mixed with his utterly jaw-dropping stunts and new take on magic, have turned him into water cooler television for fans around the world.
 
"These special programmes will give viewers unprecedented access to Dynamo and reveal never seen before material and intimate details of what it takes to become a world famous magician. We’ll also find out which of Dynamo’s extraordinary stunts fans think should get the number one spot in Dynamo’s top ten greatest moments—there are certainly plenty to pick from.”

Steve Hornsey, Watch’s general manager, added: “Dynamo: Magician Impossible has been a huge stand out hit for Watch and an unprecedented success in Pay TV. While we have a four-part series of Dynamo: Magician Impossible currently in production for transmission next year, I’m delighted that in the meantime we can treat our viewers to these special programmes that will add a bit of festive magic to the TV schedules in December.”
