Endemol Builds Apps & Games Technical Development Team

LONDON: Endemol is rounding up a technical development specialist team to support the company's expanding worldwide apps and games business.

The move is meant to help give Endemol access to in-house resources and technical expertise to develop apps and games for the company's entertainment brands around the globe.

Joe Pietroni, who previously served as the director of digital production and gaming, will manage the team as the company's director of technical development, apps and games. In his new role, which is effective immediately, he will work under Branco Scherer, Endemol's executive director of commercial affairs. Additional appointments are forthcoming.

Scherer stated: "In a world where audiences and fans are increasingly using smartphones and tablets to engage and interact with our entertainment brands, this Technical Development Team for Apps & Games will be an enormously valuable internal resource to support our operations worldwide. I'm thrilled to have someone with Joe's experience and expertise to lead this new initiative."
