New European Launches for Sundance Channel Global

NEW YORK: AMC/Sundance Channel Global has secured new carriage in France and Belgium for the Sundance Channel.

Sundance Channel has launched as a 24-hour network on the cable/IPTV platform Bouygues Telecom in France. This adds to its established distribution in the country on Numericable, Virgin, SFR on Neufbox and Free.

The channel has also joined the cable operator VOO/BeTV in Belgium for French-speaking audiences. This complements its distribution across Brussels and Flanders on Belgacom and Telenet.

In Eastern Europe, Sundance Channels has expanded in Poland with recent deals with Inea, Promax and other local operators. It is also being carried on UPC Hungary.

To bolster global growth, the company has hired Geraud Alazard as VP of marketing for AMC/Sundance Channel Global. Most recently, Alazard was serving as managing director at PureScreens in France, and prior to that was the director of marketing, sales and business development at Televista.
