Comedy Central UK Acquires The Millers, We Are Men

LONDON: Comedy Central in the U.K. has secured the exclusive broadcast rights for The Millers and We Are Men, along with renewing its rights for King of Queens and Rules of Engagement, through a deal with CBS Studios International.

The Millers stars Will Arnett as a newly divorced man whose parents are having their own marital issues. We Are Men is a single-camera comedy about four guys living in a short-term apartment complex together. It stars Tony Shaloub, Jerry O'Connell, Kal Penn and Chris Smith. Both comedies make their U.S. debut this fall.

“The Millers was the stand-out comedy at this year's LA Screenings. It’s a great fit with our current crop of U.S. and U.K. sitcoms. And it has the best Dirty Dancing scene we’ve seen since the original movie!” said Brad Wood, the head of acquisitions at Comedy Central UK.

“We are pleased to build on our long-term partnership with Comedy Central UK, renewing classic series like King of Queens and Rules of Engagement, along with adding fresh new shows The Millers and We Are Men to their schedule,” said Stephen Tague, the senior VP for Europe at CBS Studios International. “We Are Men and The Millers will provide Comedy Central UK’s audience with award-winning casts and CBS’s customary high-quality production values.”
