LONDON: Channel 4 in the U.K. has named Nick Lee as its acquired series manager, a newly created role.

In his new post Lee will be charged with the creation and roll-out strategy for acquired programming across Channel 4's catalogue and 4oD. He will work under Martin Baker, the director of commercial affairs, and collaborate with Tim Highsted, the network's senior editor of film.

Lee previously served as the acquisitions manager for television series, feature documentaries and special interest at NBCUniversal. Before that he was an account executive for ITV and a commercial manager for home entertainment and multiplatform at the BBC.

Baker stated: "Channel 4's acquisitions department has a fantastic track record in acquiring great series and Nick is the right man to build on that success."
