Italian Romantic Series Heads to Russia, CIS & Baltics

MUNICH: Broadcasters in Russia, CIS and the Baltics have purchased the rights for the Italian romantic series Crazy About Love from Global Screen.

Russia’s Mars Media Entertainment will produce a local adaptation of the show and has commenced preproduction of 26 episodes. Filming is due to begin in the spring of 2014. Global Screen placed the Italian version with broadcasters in Slovakia, Croatia, the Czech Republic and CIS.

Crazy About Love is a 78×50-minute program that first premiered on RAI Italy as Tutti Pazzi per Amore.

Ruben Dishdishyan, the CEO of Mars Media Entertainment, stated: "We love this original project, three seasons of which aired successfully in Italy. We will start scriptwriting in the near future. We consider the project a success due to its multinational nature. Russian audiences will definitely love it."
