Sparks Adds Russian Outfit to Fiction Network

STOCKHOLM: Sparks Networks is building up its growing fiction network with the addition of Studio 2V from Russia.

Studio 2V is one of the largest independent producers in Russia. The company has been working with broadcasters in the country for more than 15 years, amassing a back catalogue of TV hits. It is now the latest independent producer to join Sparks’ fiction network.

Nicola Söderlund, the managing director of Sparks Networks, said, “Sparks Networks has been absent in Russia for some time so we are very pleased to have Studio 2V on board. Russia is becoming increasingly important when it comes to fiction, both from an acquisition and sales perspective. It’s quite a vibrant market.

“Studio 2V reflect this vibrancy, they have great vision and creativity and produce some of the best shows on Russian television. They are an ideal fit for our fiction network.”

Tatiana Zakharchenko from Studio 2V commented, "Studio 2V welcomes this fantastic opportunity with a long-term aim of breaking into new markets and producing universally appealing content for a worldwide audience."
