LONDON: Sky has secured 116 live matches per year for Premier League Football for the seasons running from 2013-14 until 2015-16 in Ireland.

Sky has the live rights across all platforms. This means that viewers can catch the football action on TV as well as through Sky Go on computers, smartphones, tablets and game consoles. Much like its position in the U.K., Sky continues to be Ireland’s leading Premier League broadcaster, with more live matches than ever before.

Barney Francis, the managing director of Sky Sports, said: “These rights mean that Sky Sports remains the home of the Barclays Premier League in Ireland. With more live matches than ever before, our Irish viewers can enjoy an unrivaled choice of the biggest and best games across Saturday evenings, Sunday afternoons and Monday nights.”

He added: “Sky Sports Irish viewers can enjoy Premier League football in HD, 3D and online as well as across mobile and tablet devices. Combined with our already unrivaled portfolio of sports, there has never been a better time to subscribe to Sky Sports in Ireland."

JD Buckley, the managing director of Sky Ireland, said: “This is a great result for our Irish customers. Following the recent launch of Ireland’s best value triple-play service, today’s announcement confirms our commitment to providing customers with the best content, technology and value.”
