HBO Europe Appoints COO

BUDAPEST: Will Harrison, whose previous stints include Disney, Time Warner and A&E Television Networks, has been tapped to fill the new post of COO at HBO Europe.

Harrison will take on the new role as of January 2013. He will report to Linda Jensen, the CEO of HBO Europe. He comes to the post from Vicat Media, a business consultancy he founded.

Jensen said: "I am delighted to welcome Will Harrison as COO at HBO Europe; we continue to grow the company and expand our operations, and his wide international experience with some of the leading companies in the television business will prove invaluable to HBO Europe as we develop our markets and move forward."

Harrison added, "This is an opportunity to be in at the cutting edge of a company that has grown significantly in recent years; I am delighted to be joining HBO Europe at this time and look forward to making a contribution to its continuing growth."
