A+E Networks UK Appoints VP of Commercial Operations

LONDON: Bakori Davis, formerly the VP of content distribution at Viacom Media Network, has been hired as the VP of commercial operations for A+E Networks UK, effective immediately.

In the newly created position, Davis will manage channel distribution in Central and Eastern Europe, the Nordics, Greece, Benelux, Iceland, Africa, the Middle East, Ireland and the U.K. He will work toward expanding the company’s portfolio of channels, such as Bio, HISTORY, Military History and Crime & Investigation. Additionally, Davis will oversee ad sales efforts and the commercial exploitation of ancillary rights to JV content. He will work under Tom Davidson, the company’s managing director.

Prior to his appointment, Davis served as the VP of content distribution for Viacom Media Network. Before that he held positions at Discovery Communications and the National Cable and Television Association.
