AMSTERDAM: HBO has expanded the distribution of its channels in the Netherlands, securing carriage with new cable operators.

As of June 25, KPN and XS4ALL will offer the HD channels HBO, HBO2 and HBO3. Telefort will begin offering HBO on July 9. The channels will also be available in standard definition. The online video destination HBO GO and VOD service HBO On Demand will be available at no extra cost to customers who subscribe to the primary HBO channel.

Customers in the Netherlands will be able to watch HBO original programs as early as one day after their U.S. debut. This includes new episodes of Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and The Newsroom.
