UKTV Licenses Miramax Films

LONDON/SANTA MONICA: A number of films from the Miramax portfolio will be made available to UKTV subscribers in the U.K. and Ireland across basic pay and DTT channels. 

UKTV operates ten channel brands—Watch, Gold, Dave, Alibi, Yesterday, Blighty, Eden, Home, Really and Good Food—in addition to other services. Miramax films are now being offered across those channels to viewers in the U.K. as well as in Ireland. 

“UKTV has a proven record of delivering high-quality feature films to its subscribers and we are delighted that the Miramax library, which offers one of the world’s leading collections of high-end feature films, will become part of UKTV’s market-leading mix,” said Danny Goldman, the senior VP and head of sales for Europe at Miramax. “This is the first major, multi-title linear deal for Miramax in the U.K. and Ireland, and we are very pleased to continue growing Miramax’s direct relationships in the market.”
