Parthenon will bring content to MIPTV such as The Embezzlers: Inside the Soviet Mafia, a six-part HD series which reveals corruption and embezzlement at the heart of the Soviet Union. The Queen’s Diamond Decades, focusing on the Queen’s forthcoming Diamond Jubilee celebration, is also on offer, as well as Sea of Fire, which commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War. Singapore 1942 is out in time for the 70th anniversary of the fall of Singapore, while Bears of the Last Frontier features adventurer and bear biologist Chris Morgan on a year-long odyssey into Alaska’s bear country.
Carl Hall, the CEO of Parthenon Entertainment, commented: "It’s great that we are launching one of the best-ever programming slates during our 10th anniversary year at MIPTV. From high-end nature documentaries to factual entertainment series, and from in-depth specials on historic battles to truly jaw-dropping drama re-enactments. I am sure this will be one of our best and most successful markets yet.”
