BBC Creative Director Takes On New Position

LONDON: Alan Yentob, the creative director at the BBC, has been named a non-executive director on the board of BBC Studios and Post Production.

The company, which offers studios, post production and digital media services to the media industry, is a commercial subsidiary of the BBC. It is based at London’s Television Centre, Elstree and Bristol and works in partnership with media companies creating and managing content across all genres for broadcasters, including ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and the BBC. Yentob has been creative director at the BBC since 2004 and was previously the controller of BBC One and BBC Two, as well as the director of programs in production in 1997 before becoming director of television.

John Tate, the chairman of BBC Studios and Post Production, said, "I am delighted that Alan is joining the BBC Studios and Post Production board. He brings a wealth of experience from the U.K. creative sector, and I’m very much looking forward to working with him and building a strong future for the business."
