TM International Sells Moby Dick & More

MUNICH: TM International has landed a slate of deals across Asia and Europe, selling titles such as Moby Dick and Haven.

The $25 million-production Moby Dick, a new screen adaptation of Herman Melville’s novel starring Academy Award-winner William Hurt and Academy Award-nominee Ethan Hawke, was sold to HBO (Poland), Carmen Video (CIS) and Medallion Media (Japan). In addition, TMG’s English language miniseries adapted from Rosamunde Pilcher’s bestselling novels sold to several territories. Shades Of Love was picked up by Soulmedia (Scandinavia) and Antena 3 (Spain), while the Four Seasons Collection was licensed to Universal (Australia), along with the TV movies A Risk Worth Taking and Starting Over based on Robin Pilcher’s bestselling books of the same names.

Season one of the mystery series Haven was sold to RAI (Italy) and Leopolis (CIS) and it was also recently renewed for a third season by Universal Networks who exclusively airs the series on Syfy channels worldwide. Season two is currently airing successfully on Syfy in the U.S. It stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour with guest stars Vinessa Antoine and Jason Priestley. TM International also concluded a library package deal with DT Productions (CIS) containing blockbusters such as Terminator 2, Universal Soldier and Basic Instinct.
