German Screenings Wrapped with Success for ORF-Enterprise

VIENNA: At this year’s German Screenings, which took place from November 27 to December 1 in Berlin, ORF-Enterprise landed deals on a number of documentaries, including offerings from the Universum strand, as well as fiction titles.

The organizers of the German Screenings—ORF-Enterprise, Telepool, Bavaria Media, Studio Hamburg, united docs and Deutsche Welle—welcomed program buyers from more than 20 nations. Buyers from France, Italy and Switzerland showed particular interest in the German content.

For ORF-Enterprise, best-sellers included Termites, Sea of Creepy Monsters, the mini-series Zambezi and Mystery of the Fairy Circles. The titles were scooped up in France, Finland, Sweden, Lativia and the Czech Republic. ORF-Enterprise also landed a package deal with Swiss Television for 25 hours of doc programming. The fiction programs Wiped Out and No Way Out are also soon to air in Eastern Europe.
