maxdome Scores Disney Titles

MUNICH: ProSiebenSat.1 is bringing an additional 500 titles to its German VOD service maxdome, scoring an agreement with Disney for kids’ and family programming and feature films.

The Disney content will be available through maxdome on a transactional basis and within the subscription package. The deal covers current episodes of Disney Channel series, following their free-TV broadcast, with titles such as Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place. Also included are Disney Junior series such as Handy Manny. The agreement also covers films, including Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and a large number of movies from the Disney film archive.

Christoph Bellmer, the chairman of the management board of maxdome, said: “The agreement with Disney represents an important strategic step for us. It will allow us to further expand our portfolio with high-quality children’s programming and feature films.”
