ZDF Enterprises Inks U.S. Drama Deal with Viaplay

ZDF Enterprises has sealed a deal that sees 11 Scandinavian dramas from its catalog debut on the Viaplay streaming service that will launch in the U.S.

The package deal includes the new series Grow, a thriller about two brothers on colliding paths in life, and Huss, inspired by Helene Tursten’s best-selling novels.

It also features Thicker Than Water, a family saga that uncovers hidden truths and dark secrets, and the political thriller Blue Eyes.

The Team, portraying a group of European police officers fighting international crime, is included along with its follow-up Team Reloaded. The Scandinavian noir drama Stockholm Requiem, from Piodor Gustafsson, will also premiere on Viaplay US.

Further titles include The Dying Detective, based on the eponymous novel by Leif GW Persson, as well as the crime dramas Johan Falk, based on actual Swedish criminal cases from SSI files; The Protectors, which focuses on the lives and missions of specialist bodyguards; and Top Dog, featuring a lawyer and ex-con who collaborate to solve cases.
