Viaplay Adds to Young Adult Drama Lineup

Viaplay has added Solo and Live Life season two to its summer young adult drama lineup for the end of August.

Viaplay features thousands of hours of Nordic storytelling with young adult dramas that tackle everything from cancer, LGBTQ+ identity, school violence, intimacy and self-discovery.

Live Life season two continues its portrayal of a young adult’s cancer survival journey and features guest star Sofia Helin (The Bridge). Solo follows aspiring young musicians and dancers as they navigate talent, ambition and distraction in Norway’s vibrant arts scene.

These new series join a lineup of Viaplay originals and exclusives for young adult viewers, including: One of the Boys, a coming-of-age LGBTQ+ drama from Denmark; The Architect, a short-form, near-future satire that critiques urban housing inequality; Threesome and Thunder in My Heart, two emotionally raw portrayals of young adulthood, desire, and self-discovery.

Also featured on the streaming service are Below, a moving drama about a young woman rebuilding her life and identity after a paralyzing accident; Where Were You?, a woman is determined to bring her friend’s unknown offender to justice; Ida Takes Charge, a psychological thriller based on Kjersti Halvorsen’s novel about a student whose fear of violence spirals into obsession.
