Viaplay Renews Thriller Series Alex

A second season of the hit series Alex is being produced by SF Studios for Viaplay.

The Easy Money star Dragomir “Gago” Mrsic will once again play the lead. The first season of the thriller premiered on Viaplay in November 2017, and season two is set to launch in 2019.

Alexander Bastin, senior VP and head of Viaplay and Viafree, said: “Viaplay’s strategy for original productions is to produce to the best Nordic content and Alex is the perfect example of the kind of entertainment that our viewers across the Nordic region love. We are thrilled to announce that the series will continue with an eagerly awaited second season.”

“The only thing I can say is that you will come much closer to the brutality you read about and debate on in television,” added Mrsic.

“We are extremely happy and proud with the first season and it feels great to continue our cooperation with Dragomir,” commented producers Nicklas Wikström Nicastro and Niklas Larsson.
