UKTV Scores The Hunting Party, Allegiance

In a deal with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution, UKTV has shored up the rights to NBC’s The Hunting Party and CBC’s Allegiance for U&Alibi.

Melanie Rumani, global head of acquisitions for UKTV and BBC Studios, said, “The Hunting Party and Allegiance have had viewers gripped in North America, and we’re thrilled to have secured the premieres of these exciting new crime procedurals for our U&Alibi viewers in the U.K.”

The Hunting Party, a crime procedural, recently wrapped its first season on NBC in the U.S. Allegiance is a police drama set in British Columbia that has run for two seasons on CBC. The deal also includes the true-crime series Deadly Waters with Captain Lee, produced by Critical Content for Oxygen True Crime. UKTV picked up the show for its free-to-air entertainment channel U&W and free streaming service U.

The Hunting Party and both seasons of Allegiance land later this year. Deadly Waters with Captain Lee will premiere on U&W and U in May.
