Art Detectives to Make U.K. Debut on U&Drama

UKTV has picked up Art Detectives, starring and executive produced by Stephen Moyer (True Blood, Sexy Beast), from Dynamic Television to launch exclusively on U&Drama and U.

“Art Detectives has been a breakout success with U.S. audiences and critics since its debut on Acorn TV this summer, and we’re thrilled to be bringing the U.K. premiere to U and U&Drama,” added Steve North, chief programming officer at UKTV. “It’s exactly the kind of intelligent, engaging drama—combining mystery, history and human stories—that we know our audiences will embrace.”

Art Detectives follows detectives Mick and Shazia as they navigate a world driven by greed, obsession, lust and revenge. Throughout the season, they encounter a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, a rare Chinese vase and items rescued from the Titanic.

The new series is produced by Black Dog Television, Acorn Media Enterprises, Dynamic Television and Northern Ireland Screen. Dynamic Television is the worldwide distributor, and Acorn TV holds the North American rights.

In addition to picking up Art Detectives, UKTV also picked up all four seasons of Harry Wild for U and U&Drama.
