UKTV Acquires Three Shows from Paramount Global Content Distribution

UKTV has acquired NCIS: Sydney, NCIS: New Orleans and SEAL Team from Paramount Global Content Distribution for U, U&W and U&alibi.

“We’re delighted to expand our collaboration with Paramount to bring quality U.S. drama to U.K. audiences,” said Sophie Judge, senior global acquisitions manager for UKTV and BBC Studios. “NCIS: Sydney is a perfect fit for U&alibi’s crime-loving viewers, while NCIS: New Orleans and SEAL Team bolster our free streaming service U with compelling, high-impact storytelling.”

The deal includes 267 hours of drama content, containing NCIS: Sydney seasons one and two for U&alibi, as well as NCIS: New Orleans seasons one to seven for U&W and SEAL Team seasons one through five for U.

The deal between UKTV and Paramount Global Content Distribution was brokered by Judge and Harriet Armston-Clarke, senior global acquisitions managers for UKTV and BBC Studios, and Matt Downer and Carlos Mata, senior VPs of regional TV licensing at Paramount Global Content Distribution.

“This new licensing agreement with UKTV reinforces the strength and reach of our content portfolio,” said Downer. “Bringing three standout series–including two from our hugely successful NCIS franchise–to audiences across the region highlights the continued global resonance of these stories.”
