LOS ANGELES: Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions are developing Robert Heinlein’s 1961 science-fiction novel Stranger in a Strange Land into a series for Syfy.

The classic novel tells the story of a human born on Mars who comes to Earth in early adulthood. Amy Powell, president of Paramount TV, noted, “This novel has resonated with me since college and there’s a reason it has continued to find new fans for over 40 years.
