Russian Dramas from NTV Sell into LatAm

Brazil’s Encripta has acquired rights to a number of drama series produced by Russia’s NTV, including the crime thriller The OPERAtive and procedurals Nevsky and Mukhtar. The New Trail.

The package also features the period drama The Sacrificing and action series Five Minutes of Silence. Encripta has picked up rights for online broadcasting, free and pay TV throughout Latin America.

Timur Weinstein, NTV’s general producer, said: “Encripta chose projects that mix various genre features while staying true to NTV’s focus on action-packed content and the themes pivotal to the global media market: strong female characters, real-life stories and solid crime narratives. By entering the Latin American market, including OTT platforms and over-the-air broadcasting, we have made significant strides toward achieving our goal of global content distribution.”
