A deal between NTV and Ampersand Fiction brings three Russian series to Air France, TVP VOD and SIA Helio Media.

Air France acquired VOD rights to air the crime series Casting Lady Justice onboard its planes. The series will be included in the inflight entertainment system accessible for passengers to watch on multimedia displays.

TVP VOD, the online resource of Telewizja Polska, bought the internet rights in Poland to the period crime series Murderous Fervor. It will be available to TVP VOD users in the foreign content collection.

Latvian media holding SIA Helio Media acquired Casting Lady Justice, Murderous Fervor and Missing to be aired in Latvia. All three will be broadcast on 8TV, a free Russian-language channel.

Timur Weinstein, general producer at NTV, commented: “We are happy that several European countries at once will see our projects. NTV has already gained a big audience of loyal viewers on the Latvian media market since we sold more than 180 content hours to the Baltics in 2020 alone. The deals made by Ampersand Fiction with Air France and the Polish platform TVP VOD expand the distribution geography of NTV series and diversify the availability rates.”

Mathurin Beauvert, Ampersand Fiction’s head of sales, said: “We see that recently the demand for action-packed entertainment content has grown, and NTV’s series are the best match for it. Three NTV projects were included in our distribution portfolio a year ago, and I am glad that they are resonating with the European audience.”
