RTL Germany Picks Up Maxima

Beta Film has licensed Maxima, which follows the life of Argentinean-born Maxima Zorreguieta, who later became Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, to RTL Germany.

The first season of the six-hour series just wrapped shooting. The series is produced by Millstreet Films and commissioned by RTL Nederland’s Videoland OTT service.

Delfina Chaves (The Secret of the Greco Family) stars in the lead role.

Saskia Diesing directs alongside Joosje Duk and Iván López Núñez. The writers’ room was led by Marnie Blok and Ilse Ott. Rachel van Bommel produces for Millstreet Films in co-production with Beta Film and FBO.

Maxima is based on the book Máxima Zorreguieta: Motherland by Marcia Luyten.
