The Crow Girl, an adaptation of Erik Axl Sund’s international best-selling novel, is slated to bow exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.K. on January 16.

The six-part psychological thriller centers on DCI Jeannette Kilburn and DI Lou Stanley’s hunt for a killer after bodies of unidentified young men show up around Bristol, beaten and full of the anesthetic lidocaine. To piece together the connections between the killings, they enlist the help of the prime suspect’s psychotherapist, who offers a fresh but troubling perspective.

Eve Myles stars as DCI Kilburn, and Dougray Scott plays DI Stanley. The cast also features Katherine Kelly, Elliot Edusah, Clara Rugaard (I Am Mother, Press Play, The Rising), Victoria Hamilton (COBRA, The Crown, Life) and Chloé Sweetlove (My Husband’s Double Life, Tutankhamun, Our Fathers).

The Crow Girl is produced by Buccaneer (Irvine Welsh’s Crime, Marcella) in association with ITV Studios, which is handling distribution. Milly Thomas created the series for the screen, writing four episodes as well as executive producing. Charles Martin and Rebecca Rycroft both served as directors and executive producers. Tony Wood and Richard Tulk-Hart executive produced for Buccaneer. Andy Mosse is the producer for the series.
