Taylor Sheridan’s Landman Renewed

Landman, from co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, has been ordered for a second season by Paramount+.

Landman ranked as a top ten SVOD original series across all subscription streaming services for Q4. The drama, which stars Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton and Academy Award nominee Demi Moore, had 35 million global streaming viewers for the premiere episode and set new records for Paramount+.

It ranks as the most watched global premiere and finale of any series in Paramount+ history, is the number one Paramount+ original ever on the service, number one engagement-driver and number one on households.

Landman was one of the biggest shows of the year because of Taylor Sheridan’s unique ability to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, harnessing the Neo-Western themes of rugged individualism, ambition and working-class struggles set against contemporary debates around energy, climate change and economic growth,” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks. “The series has helped drive Paramount+ to new heights as the number two SVOD in the U.S. for original hours watched in Q4, alongside our other hit series Tulsa King, The Agency, Lioness and Dexter: Original Sin.”
